Pizza

Between working on a new brief, editing articles for Nidzumi and getting Basingstoke up into the Premier League (stuck in the Championship at this point) I haven’t really done all that much today – I know, a big surprise.

I did however, make Pizza from scratch. Well I say from scratch, we made the dough from yeast, flour and the trimmings but we didn’t grow our own tomatoes or anything. Although I am currently growing some intense looking parsley, which after a week of nothing is now coming through at an alarming rate, like we’ve given it plant steroids or something.

Do they exist? They would mess up those weird competitions with giant turnips in village tents.

Anyway that’s your lot for today.

Quit

Don’t worry I’m not quitting one a day, although we seem to be dropping like flies recently. Ever since our, for lack of a better word, leader dropped out some time last week, the rumblings across the network have been that people are looking to quit. We’re a little past fifty days into this challenge – a seventh of the way – and people are already thinking about stopping. You guys make me sick…

Well that’s not true because I’ve been thinking the exact same thing. I’ll be honest, I jumped on the bandwagon because of the talk going on over twitter during the first few days of the year. But as the days and blog posts have been crossed off, my posts have become less eventful or meaningful. I’m starting to wonder what I’ll really get at the end of it all.

With that said I’m still enjoying the whole process and I can’t wait, come January 1st 2011, to say I made a blog post every single day.

Pancakes

It’s the one day that people remember that pancakes taste nice, so I guess I should blog about that.

Bacon and maple syrup pancakes aren’t as bad as they sound, honest. I know we only have a few hours left but you should give it ago. Actually screw that, you can eat pancakes on any other day as well, I don’t think there’s a law against it.

Why not put bacon and maple syrup in that pancake you’ll make tomorrow?

I don’t hate putting a score on review as much as most reviewers. At Nidzumi we use a five star scale which basically equates to terrible, bad, average, good, great – how many more ways do you need to describe a game?

Today though I hesitated to put a number on a review. Bioshock 2, it’s great if you’ve played the original but if you haven’t you’ll probably fail to see why everyone went gaga over it the first time. So when looking at it like that, it’s either a four or a three depending on prior experiences. I then realised how stupid this all is, it’s just a number and I had spent more time debating that then any other decision that day. If only people read the text, then again I’ve been known to skip to the end a few times so I can’t complain.

And what score did I give it… You’ll have to check yourself (before you wreck yourself)

A Day Off

Don’t worry this isn’t going to be of those I can’t be bothered posts, I would never do one of those. It’s just that after the rush that was our Nerv iPhone application – that we presented last Friday to a seemingly great response – it’s nice to get some time off. Normally between projects we get a good week off after the final deadline day rush, it’s quite lethargic.

However because this project’s deadline was at the end of the week we only had this weekend off before moving onto the next one. Actually I don’t mind that so much as it’s made me appreciate this weekend. Not that I’ve done anything interesting except for failing to go surfing, receive Stewart Lee tickets in the post, getting tipsy on way too much wine for a Sunday morning and making some damn good saves at football.

Oh, and Football Manager… but let’s not talk about that.
