Art Brut Vs. Satan

In what is Eddie Argos and Co’s third outing I was surprised to hear that what is essentially the same formula still works just as well. Humorous lyrics with Argos’ ‘singing’ delivery over chirpy punk rock is on the bill.
Although not as perfect as BBR&R’s short bursts, Art Brut Vs. Satan has enough standout hits for a smooth ride. The Pop-Idol critique of Demons Out! along with pure catchy melodies of Twist And Shout tower above the rest of the album. Meanwhile Mysterious Bruises proves why the band should stick to the shorter tracks. This seven and a half minute failed epic isn’t one for repeat playthroughs.
Nevertheless Art Brut’s formula of catchy riffs with Eddie Argos unique brand of delivery and lyrics prove to be a hit for a majority of the album, again.
