Today Hot on the heels of the price drop announcement also showed us the next new add-on for the 360. The External VHS Player. Microsoft issued this official statement earlier today “Coming Q4 2007 just in time for Christmas, the external VHS player will come with 3 free videos and a roll of tape so you can tape over them”
Don Mattrick, Senior Vice President of Microsofts Entertainment department had this to say “We’ve always been at the forefront of technology at Microsoft and now with the lower priced SKU’s and the External VHS Player we will be appealing to a wider demographic and any early adopters of the External HD-DVD Player will be pleased to know that now it will look like you will have two books next to each other, Here in the Xbox Division we believe in constancy between products”
He also addressed the rumours of the 360 moving out of the HD era “Now you can enjoy all your old TV programs in stunning LP/SP which let you record more than the standard amount, current media platforms don’t offer this capability”
Another spokesperson at Microsoft had no comment on the rising reports of a Betamax or a VCD external player but did personally welcome us to VHS 2.0

Bacon, if you find any more details on this let me know. I’m hoping it is a VHS Recorder too, so for when IPTV arrives we can record straight to video tape

Nice website, I was performing some web snooping and happened onto your blog, I was wondering if you knew your website is rendering unusually in the K-mellon browser. I will see most of it but the graphics are somehow out of wallop. Probably not a huge deal since hardly no one utilizes it anymore however I am old school and still use it.
